Dante says, "My brother Trent and I were adopted from Lifelong Friends by a very nice couple. Everything seemed to be going great. Our parents loved us, and we loved them. Then things started to go wrong. I don't really understand what the arguing was about, but our mom assured us it had nothing to do with my brother or me. Then our whole world was shattered. My parents were breaking up. Our dad did not want us, and our mom could not take us with her because she was going to live with a friend who is allergic to us. After months of being happy in a real home, we were brought back to the shelter. It was really hard at first, and I was especially upset about the whole situation. I told all the volunteers at the shelter that I thought it was my fault that my parents split up. They loved on Trent and me and made me know that there is nothing wrong with us. Sometimes bad things just happen to good people and kitties. That part of my life is behind me. My brother Trent was adopted again. But I'm still waiting. I keep hoping the next person who walks in the door will want a sweet black kitty with lovely eyes."
